#MarianaStrong Dress Down Fundraiser hosted by WAY: will be on Wednesday, October 31st. Purchase $1 wristbands TODAY and tomorrow (Oct. 29 & 30). All proceeds will be given to the typhoon relief efforts for Tinian and Saipan. Students MUST follow the dress code guidelines. This is NOT a Halloween Dress event.

Toy for Tots High school Challenge: Make a different for a youth counterpart this holiday season by participating in the 2018 Toys for Tots High School Challenge! Your school will have an opportunity to win up to $1000 in cash! Donate new or unwrapped toys/items for children ages newborn to 17 yrs old in the box in the Main Office. Deadline is December 14.

October Grams: JFKHS Tennis Club is selling October Grams for $5.00 each. Inside the Grams are snack size m&ms, gogurt, small cereal boxes, small almond joy, small KitKat, small crunch, pop tarts, snack size marshmallows, and snack size butter fingers! You may order a gram in D202 or buy from any Tennis Club member!
HOSTS Club is selling Halloween Grams: that will be distributed in the WAY room D108 15 minutes before the end of lunch on October 31st. See HOSTS officers for pre orders in Room G104. The grams consists of Rice Krispies, Caramel Apples and Brownies. The grams cost $5.
ATTENTION FRESHMEN: There will be a Freshmen Class Meeting in Room 109 Every Tuesday. Please attend and support the Freshmen Class!
University of Guam’s Educational Talent Search (ETS) college prep program is now accepting applications from eligible high school students from 9th to 12th grade. ETS offers academic tutoring, College & Career exploration activities, assistance with College Applications, Financial Aid and scholarship applications, College Entrance (SAT/ACT) Fee waivers, financial literacy and more. All services are FREE! For more information see Mr. Lujan in the counselling office.
Attention Seniors: Need money for college?  See if you qualify for the Pell Grant, College Work Study, and other types of aid by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, FAFSA.  The FAFSA is accepting applications starting October 1.  Apply online at www.fafsa.gov using the SY 2019-2020 form.  Counselors will be in English 12 classes in October to present FAFSA information.

College Visits: Attention students:  If you are interested in attending these presentations, please sign up with Ms. Michelle Santos or Dr. Marzan in the counseling office. All presentations will be held at 11AM (during lunchtime) in room D118.  You may eat your lunch during the presentation. November 1st: University of Portland, and Enderun Colleges will visit on Wednesday, November 14th at 11AM in D118.
Japanese Club Meeting: in Rm F102, first half of lunch Thursday. Meetings are every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month.

ESL Codes: need to be inputted from starting Oct. 25 through Nov. 8.  See ESL Coordinator Palacios for assistance.
Closed Campus: We are a closed campus afterhours/weekends and holidays. All requests must be made 2 days in advance for approval by Ms. Tessie Cruz or Dr. Adamos. Main Office/Front Gate is open from 5:50 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.  Afterwards, exit is through the gate near room D114 which closes at 3pm.
PTEP: Walkthroughs are in progress. Lesson Plans and Unit Plans should be provided.
16B Progress Reports: Should be issued by Oct. 23 & 24. By Oct. 31, teachers collect reports signed by parents; efforts to contact parents to acknowledge receipt should be documented. CRTs should be given reports and/or updates.

Bulletin Submissions

  • Our school bulletin will be published once a week, every Monday. Please, submit announcement(s) electronically to Mrs. Anub, Assistant Principal (ptranub@gdoe.net) before 12:00 noon on Thursdays. Submission of announcements later than the noon deadline will be honored on the next day of publication. Please indicate if announcements are to be made on the morning intercom or published in the bulletin or BOTH.
  • Student submissions for the bulletin must be acknowledged by the advisor/teacher/coach.
